Overview

The National Heart Institute in Kuala Lampur, also known as the Institut Jantung Negara (IJN), is Malaysia’s leading medical institute for cardiovascular diseases.

IJN is one-stop center for comprehensive cardiology care and cardiothoracic surgery.

Established in 1992, IJN has since treated over a million adult and pediatric cardiac patients from all over the world.

Doctors at the hospital have introduced many innovations in interventional procedures for diagnosis and treatment of cardiac diseases.

    To better assist the large number of foreign patients seeking treatment at IJN, the hospital has formed a dedicated department—International Patient Centre (IPC).

    IJN is situated on the Jalan Tun Razak on the Middle Ring Road 1 of Kuala Lampur in Malaysia.

    It is about 50 minutes drive from the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA).

    IJN offers meet-and-greet facility at the airport to foreign patients, so they will send over a representative if you inform them in advance.

    This part was built during the British colonial era and is among the oldest and busiest roads in KL.

    There is plenty of activity in and around the area as it is only 10 - 15 minutes drive from the heart of KL – Kuala Lampur City Centre (KLCC).

    Also check out the famous Suria shopping mall that features many luxury brands and the beautiful, verdant KLCC Park built over 17 acres of land.

    Located just below Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre within the KLCC area, this place has thousands of fascinating species of sea animals.
