Overview

Phuket International Hospital is the cosmetic surgery unit of Thailand’s largest hospital network—Bangkok Dusit Medical Services Public Company Limited (BDMS) that runs almost 40 hospitals.

Also known as the Phuket Plastic Surgery Institute (PPSI), it was formed with the merger of two of Thailand’s top cosmetic surgery centers—the Phuket International Aesthetic Center (PIAC) and Bangkok Phuket Institute of Cosmetic Surgery (BPICS).

They now serve in a newly-built state-of-the-art facility that started functioning in 2016. The building is equipped with 10 operation theatres and has 50 private rooms, all with ensuite bathrooms, and other premiere facilities such as satellite televisions, phone, wi-fi, and balconies with all rooms.

They are visited by patients from all over the world and are even tied up with some resorts, where you can get 24x7 nursing care as you recover.

What's around

Phuket town is a small, mountainous island, strewn with beautiful beaches, and resorts and hotels to suit every budget. Given its popularity with the Western tourists, Phuket is buzzing with life at almost all times of the year.

Restaurants serving Thai, Indian, Japanese, and other world cuisines are aplenty near the hospital, but you must get your doctor’s approval before trying our world cuisines in the few days after your surgery.

Phuket has about 29 temples, and if it catches your fancy, you can visit a few to get a sense of serenity. If you go the see the Big Buddha sitting on top of the Nakkerd Hills, you will be able to appreciate a 360-dgree view of the island.

There are many museums, entertainment shows, and active night streets.

Phuket also boasts of plenty of beach resorts built on some of Thailand's best beaches, and if you want to recover by reading a book, sitting in a balcony, watching the sun dip int he Arabian sea, you can easily do that by booking a beach resort at some distance from the PPSI.
