International Specialist Eye Centre (ISEC) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia is a centre of excellence in ophthalmology.

ISEC has 15 consultation rooms, five laser suites, and four operating theaters offer patients an array of specialties.

The facility was established in 2000. Every year, they serve over 50,000 patients from all parts of the world and perform more than 5,000 major eye operations.

ISEC was the first eye care centre to get the coveted JCI accreditation in South East Asia.

They offer almost all kinds of eye treatments including cornea and anterior segment, glaucoma, pediatric ophthalmology, cataract and intraocular lens implants, treatment for strabismus (squint), retinal problems, oculoplastics, cosmetic eyelid surgery, glasses removal with LASIK and LASEK, optometry and orthoptics.

ISEC is located on the Boulevard in the vibrant district of Mid Valley City in Kuala Lampur, Malaysia

It is about 45 minutes drive from the Kuala Lumpur International Airport(KLIA).

You can either take the taxi (around $20), or the much cheaper airport buses or train services from KLIA to KL Sentral station, from where you must switch to the KTM commuter train heading to MidValley station.

It is the largest walk-in free-flight aviary in the world, which offers a delightful experience of watching colorful and melodic birds perching and winging around freely in a beautiful landscape.

The area has several temples and museums in under 5km radius— Islamic Arts Museum, Thean Hou Temple, National Mosque (Masjid Negara), Be Tourist Malaysia Heritage, Sri Maha Mariamman Temple.

It is just around 8kms away from ISEC and it will take a short 15 minutes drive to get you to the heart of Kuala Lampur—the city’s commercial, residential, and entertainment hub.

Here you can visit the famous Petronas Towers, multitudes of shopping outlets, food joints, and other recreational centers.
