Bangkok Hospital Medical Center (BMC) is the flagship hospital of Thailand’s largest hospital group—Dusit Medical Group.
BMC claims to be one of the most technologically sophisticated hospitals in not only Asia, but the world today.
It’s expansive, state-of-the-art medical campus has four hospital building— Bangkok International Hospital (BIH), Bangkok Heart Hospital (BHT), Wattanasoth Cancer Hospital(WSH), and Bangkok Hospital(BGH—focused on internal medicine, pediatrics and general surgery.
The campus also has two supporting buildings dedicated to dentistry and rehabilitation.
BMC serves over 1,50,000 patients from 60 different countries every year; it was one of the first hospitals in Thailand to serve foreign patients.
Established in 1972, the hospital has over 550 beds, 850 full-time doctors, and 700 nurses.

Location
The hospital is located right in Huai Khwang district near the city center of Bangkok city. It is near Patong beach—one of the most popular tourist attractions.
The drive from Suvarnabhumi International Airport to Bangkok Hospital takes around 25min.
Taxi is the quickest way to get there, and it will cost around 200-350 Baht or $6-$10.
There are many budget and luxury hotels around the hospital with tariff starting as low as $8 a night. Depending upon your pocket and personal preferences, you can comfortably stay near the hospital during recuperation.
A performing arts venue, built in 1987 with a grant from Japan. It is located on Ratchadaphisek Road and is very close to Bangkok Metro’s station called Thailand Cultural Centre.
The venue has two large auditoriums and an outdoor stage, a cultural library, and permanent exhibition of the Thai lifestyle.
The 2000-seat theatre that plays one of the largest stage productions in the world—Siam Niramit, Siam Dreams.
The epicenter of Bangkok’s nightlife with international DJs, live concerts, local artists, and night clubs packed to capacity. Some of the more popular clubs here are: Onyx Bangkok, Route 66, Ztudio Live Hall, Slim & Fix club, Live RCA club.
All the clubs here will issue a stamp upon entry so you can enter and re-enter throughout the night. You must take your IDs for entry to any club.
A huge seven-story shopping plaza with some 300 shops of leading international brands, restaurants, cafés, and plenty of entertainment options.
